She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, cum laude, from the University of Houston–Victoria and has served as a Texas Realtors Continuing Education Instructor, sharing her industry knowledge with real estate professionals across Texas.

Catherine has worked in Williamson County since 2001 and has proudly called the county home for more than 11 years. She and her husband, Scott, chose to build their lives in Williamson County because of its strong communities, excellent schools, and the values shared by the people they have come to know as friends and neighbors. Together they have one son, Andrew.

Totty brings more than 25 years of experience in banking, lending, financial services and operations. She has held leadership positions as an assistant vice president, branch manager, team lead and sales manager, overseeing financial transactions, regulatory compliance, customer service and staff operations.

Catherine currently works as a sales manager and mortgage loan originator for Cardinal Financial Company. The Williamson County Commissioners Court voted today to appoint Catherine Totty to serve as Williamson County tax assessor-collector. Totty will begin serving in the role July 21.
