Catherine has worked in Williamson County since 2001 and has proudly called the county home for more than 11 years. She and her husband, Scott, chose to build their lives in Williamson County because of its strong communities, excellent schools, and the values shared by the people they have come to know as friends and neighbors. Williamson County Commissioners Court appoints Catherine Totty as tax assessor-collector

Totty brings more than 25 years of experience in banking, lending, financial services and operations. She has held leadership positions as an assistant vice president, branch manager, team lead and sales manager, overseeing financial transactions, regulatory compliance, customer service and staff operations.

Catherine currently works as a sales manager and mortgage loan originator for Cardinal Financial Company. She previously held positions with Thrive Mortgage, R Bank Texas, Affiliated Bank, First Texas Bank and Bank of Hawaii, including roles as an assistant vice president, branch manager, team lead and sales manager.

The Williamson County Commissioners Court voted today to appoint Catherine Totty to serve as Williamson County tax assessor-collector. Totty will begin serving in the role July 21.

I grew up in the Dallas area and moved to Georgetown, TX to attend Southwestern University in 1997. I fell in love with the slower pace of life and the charm of the Texas Hill Country.

Meet Eric Hanke | Democrat for Williamson County

Since my college days at Southwestern, I've been a performing songwriter and musician. I also serve as guitarist for Macedonia Baptist Church in Georgetown, TX. Musical talent is a gift that brings people joy and transcends the walls that divide us.

In this era of polarized politics, we need public servants who have this mindset to help us heal our country. I've been a homeowner in Liberty Hill, TX for the last 10 years. My girlfriend Nicole and I have 2 dogs, Bonnie and Gigi.

I will handle this duty with the utmost care and accountability to ensure that our schools, first responders, and other local entities have the resources they need to serve the public.

I will seek to use technology to modernize the processes and procedures of the tax office to save taxpayer resources, minimize customer wait times, and to create the optimal experience for the people of Williamson County.
