Betsy Holland is from Marietta, Georgia. She earned her bachelor's degree in American government and politics and women's studies from Smith College. She has volunteered with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the Atlanta Community ToolBank, Motherhood Beyond Bars, and the Fugees Family. She lives with her husband, Jason, and their child in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. She attends Morningside Presbyterian Church when she leads a women's small group.  

Betsy currently works as the chief executive officer of the Children's Advocacy Centers of Georgia. She previously worked as the interim executive director at Day League, the vice president of corporate social impact at Warner Bros. Discovery, the vice president of contributions and employee engagement at WarnerMedia, and the director of culture and engagement at Turner Broadcasting System. 

Betsy currently serves as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives representing District 54. She was first elected in 2018 and is serving her fourth term.

Said, "My voting record shows that I have consistently voted against pre-emption bills – bills that allow the state to prohibit cities from passing laws and ordinances locally that make sense for their unique population. I believe that counties and municipalities should have the ability to pass ordinances without interference from state government."
