Lindsay earned her bachelor's degree in criminology and her Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington and her master's degree in accounting and business management from the University of Phoenix. She lives with her husband, Warner, and their children, in Iowa Colony, Texas.

Lindsay currently works as a city controller with the City of Pasadena, Texas, and owners BK Municipal Solutions, LLC. She previously worked as the city manager with the City of Sweeny, an assistant director of development with the City of Angleton. a finance director with the City of Richwood, a project manager with the City of Pearland, Texas, a program specialist with the City of Missouri City, a business operations lead with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, and a deputy director of fiancee with Warren County Virginia. She served as a seaman in the U.S. Coast Guard for two years.

Lindsay's campaign for Iowa Colony, Texas, City Council is her first run for public office.
