If elected, what will your priorities be regarding property taxes and housing affordability?

My priority is restoring fairness and stability in property taxes by calling for responsible investigations when inconsistencies arise. With many relief proposals already at the table, I will continue to evaluate what exists, listen to needs, and advocate for the most reasonable, effective policies that protect housing affordability and keep families secure.

We must also ensure that the "Texas Miracle" works for everyone by raising the minimum wage to a true living wage. No Texan working a full-time job should live in poverty, and a stronger wage floor benefits our entire economy. This commitment to our workforce must also apply to the companies moving into our state. I believe that if a business wants to call Texas home, they should be required to hire Texans first.

How will you ensure your constituents are able to receive the appropriate aid after natural disasters?

Resilience is the goal, and waiting until disaster strikes is too late. I will prioritize preparedness activities and advocate for the emergency supplies and education our community needs. I will also push for generator support for vulnerable residents so they can stay safe, powered, and connected during disasters.

I believe more resources must be allocated directly to communities for emergency preparedness. This includes financial support for households to strengthen resilience because no family should have to choose between safety and affordability. Today, individuals are expected to go above and beyond by shelling out hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars to have electricity. That is unrealistic and inequitable.

As someone who worked with homeowners and renters during Hurricane Harvey, I have seen firsthand the difference that preparedness makes. Stronger support for local preparedness activities saves lives, protects assets, and reduces long-term recovery costs. Texas must invest in community-level resilience programs, and education so that when disaster strikes, families are ready and not left behind.

We cannot claim that “children are our future” while simultaneously allowing efforts to dismantle public education. While changes are needed, we must look at the school system as a whole to see where the gaps are and work toward repairing it. I firmly reject any attempt to defund our schools or weaken this essential resource. My approach is simple: we must stop treating education as an expense to be cut and start treating it as an investment to be secured.

What would your top priorities be if elected?

My top priority is ensuring District 3 has a strong voice and fully understands the power we hold when we act together. I will also focus on strengthening emergency preparedness, improving affordability, and advocating for properly funded schools so every child receives a quality education.

Public schools are at the heart of this district, so as your State Representative, I'll work to support:

1. Increased salaries for Teachers and support staff beyond The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA).

2. Funding based on enrollment, not attendance.

3. Safe learning environments.
