Stephen was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1988, and then Texas Southern's Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 1993. He has been married 35 years



 Stephen started his legal career as an intern in Fort Bend's District Attorney's office, and became an assistant district attorney upon my graduation in 1993.
