Community & Economic Growth

For too long, Harrisburg has ignored the everyday economic needs of communities like Armstrong and Westmoreland counties. Dustyn will partner directly with local businesses, schools, and community leaders to bring real opportunity home, not just promise it. That means:

Raising the minimum wage to reflect the real cost of living
Ensuring public schools are adequately and fairly funded, regardless of zip code
Passing long-overdue revenue-generating legislation — recreational marijuana and "Games of Skill" taxation have sat on the table for years.

Prioritizing people over profit and party, every time

Housing & food costs, jobs, and a deteriorating infrastructure. Consider options to make abandoned or condemned homes available to needing families.

Creating jobs through partnerships with educators, employers, and emerging technologies. Anticipating the future needs of the Commonwealth & district and aligning those to job opportunities through partnerships with education services in and around the district. Education

Western Pennsylvania's environmental challenges are decades in the making. Dustyn will fight to:

Remediate and revitalize brownfield industrial sites to restore land and create opportunity
Continue tackling abandoned mine drainage that poisons local waterways
Work with federal partners to address shallow land nuclear disposal sites
Halt new data center construction until independent environmental impact studies are completed. Development shouldn't come at the cost of clean air and water

Yes, the state should establish clear rules for the water, energy, and environmental impacts of data centers. Especially large facilities that could impact utility costs and local resources. Those state rules should be a floor, not a ceiling.

I would support a form of open primaries. I also believe any PA resident should be able to circulate and sign petitions for any candidate. In districts that are lop-sided in party registration, the current process could deter residents from participating in democracy.

Pennsylvania's government should work for the people, not the other way around. Dustyn is committed to:

Ending partisan gerrymandering by establishing an independent redistricting process
Enacting term limits so fresh voices and new ideas can enter the process
Reforming campaign finance laws to reduce the influence of outside money in local elections
Holding legislators financially accountable when the budget isn't passed on time — if counties and families feel the pain of a late budget, so should the people responsible for passing one

There needs to be a consequence model. I believe the General Assembly's pay should be withheld until a budget is passed.

Supports an independent redistricting process to end partisan gerrymandering.

Supports term limits for state lawmakers.

Supports campaign finance reforms to reduce outside money's influence in local elections.
