A small business owner and real estate developer with a proven track record of success in creating jobs and balancing budgets for more than two decades, Leslie will fight every day in the Legislature to reverse the excessive government overreach, economy-collapsing policies and unchecked executive power that have shuttered far too many family-sustaining businesses, and resulted in what the Department of Labor and Industry has publicized as 500,000 permanent job losses.

Leslie Rossi is a small-business owner and real estate developer.

Pledging to lead with accountability, transparency, integrity and uncompromising conservative values, Leslie Rossi was elected as the first-ever woman to serve and represent the people of the 59th Legislative District on May 18, 2021.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I'd probably start with the additional unemployment bonuses the government has been issuing. We are really facing issues where laid off workers are refusing to return to their jobs when called back.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

A proud wife, mother of eight, strong woman of faith and a fierce defender of the original intent of our state and federal Constitutions, Leslie is deeply committed to safeguarding our God-given right to keep and bear arms, protecting the sanctity of all human life and reclaiming government to be run by and for the people—free from out-of-touch politicians and special interest coercion. Her other top legislative priorities include enacting landmark election integrity reform, eliminating wasteful spending, and reducing taxes for families, seniors, farmers and job creators to restore a prosperous economy and bring home more well-paying jobs to the 59th District.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Government never should have gotten involved. Once Obamacare was in place, it made premiums so high that the middle class felt the financial burden and in turn what was once good healthcare coverage, no longer was affordable.

VALUES

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1) Election Integrity. Act 77 changed our election laws that had not been changed in decades, which in turn proved to show extreme irregularities in our general election. Voters absolutely want and deserve Voter ID, updated voter rolls, and what they really want is Act 77 repealed. They don't recall their legislators discussing with them the major changes made. 2) 2nd Amendment issues. I feel very strongly that our rights must be protected under the constitution. 3) Protecting Jobs - Anything we can do to keep the jobs alive in PA regarding coal, oil and gas. 4) Education. Every parent has the right to choose the best education and way of learning that suits their child. Schools need to be open, period.

Westmoreland County House Delegation Works to Better Protect Citizens from Juvenile Sex Offenders

The bill would require:
•	All individuals discharged from the SRTP to be subject to lifetime sexual offender registration and oversight requirements, regardless of when they were adjudicated delinquent.
•	All counties to participate in the placement process and assist in identifying appropriate housing and support services for individuals discharged from the SRTP who are returning to their communities.
•	The establishment of a network of supervised transitional homes throughout Pennsylvania designed specifically for individuals discharged from the SRTP.
•	The extension of the required outpatient treatment and supervision period from one year to two years. The additional year will provide treatment professionals and supervising authorities with greater opportunities to monitor progress and facilitate a safer and more gradual reintegration into communities.
