Exciting work is underway to restore and enhance the fish habitat in Lake Lure! Lake Advisory Board Members and volunteers are actively placing recycled Christmas trees into the lake to rebuild essential underwater structures that the fishery. A dedicated team—including Gary Hasenfus, Robin Worcester, Dave Lusk and Richard Sayles (not pictured), and Donnie Martin from the Lake Lure Public Works Department—has begun installing new habitat to replace what was lost during debris removal following Hurricane Helene.
