Trisha Garner takes the oath of office as a new Davidson County Board of Education member. Her husband, Eric, holds the Bible for her, with their son, Logan, behind her. Garner was selected to fill the unexpired term of Ashley Hicks Carroll, who resigned in April.

Garner finished fourth out of 14 candidates in the November race for three seats on the school board. Carroll’s seat was not one of the three up for election in 2024.
