Sheila Blower earned a bachelor's degree in business from Western International University and a master's degree in health administration informatics from the University of Phoenix.

Sheila currently works for an accounting company and previously worked in various health care roles.

“What you do with your family is up to you. But taxpayer dollars should not be paying for books, if people don't feel comfortable that their kid might bump into a graphic novel that's showing explicit sex in it,” Blower said.

Blower says she’s working with a group called the Pavement Education Project to identify books that she feels shouldn’t be in school libraries.

“These people who are doing this have been reading these books from cover to cover, and then they notate every single page that has content that is inappropriate. And then they put links so that parents can go click on the link, they can look the book, they can look at exactly what is in there that their kids are reading,” Blower said.
