Drew Warshaw is originally from New York City. He earned a bachelor's degree in history and government from Cornell University and a master's in business administration from Columbia Business School. He lives with his wife and has two children.

Drew most recently served as chief operating officer and interim co-chief executive officer of Enterprise Community Partners, the largest affordable housing nonprofit in the United States. He previously served as vice president of Community Solar at NRG Energy and then Clearway Energy Group. He also previously served as chief of staff to the Executive Director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. He previously served as assistant secretary to the Governor in the New York State Office of the Governor and also worked as a policy associate on the Spitzer campaign for governor, and earlier in his career served as deputy director of state and regional affairs at the Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C.
