Kevin was born and raised in the Northeast Bronx and attended Mount Saint Michael Academy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in politics, economics, and law from SUNY Old Westbury and a master’s degree in public affairs and administration from Metropolitan College of New York. He is an active member of Butler United Methodist Church. Kevin has two daughters.

Kevin worked for over a decade in the office of New York State Assembly Speaker Carl E. Heastie. He also worked as a Skills Coach for the New York Foundling, mentoring young men on life skills and social awareness.

Kevin Christopher Riley currently serves as the Council Member for New York City Council District 12. He was first elected in 2020 and is serving his first term.
