Kandy holds a degree in criminal justice and law enforcement administration from Eastern Gateway Community College. 

Kandy previously worked as a captain and operations administrative captain for the Summit County Sheriff's Office. She also worked as a police officer for the Lakemore Police Department. 

Kandy Fatheree currently serves as the Summit County Sheriff. She was elected to this position in 2020 and is serving her first term.
