Kandy holds a degree in criminal justice and law enforcement administration from Eastern Gateway Community College. 

Kandy previously worked as a captain and operations administrative captain for the Summit County Sheriff's Office. She also worked as a police officer for the Lakemore Police Department. 

Kandy Fatheree currently serves as the Summit County Sheriff. She was elected to this position in 2020 and is serving her first term. 

As a sheriff, Fartheree added more deputies to county schools to ensure they can improve responses to violent situations. 

As sheriff, Fartheree provided funds to 13 area police departments to purchase new police cars.

Shane lives with his wife, Linda, in Summit County.

Shane currently works as a captain for the Summit County Sheriff’s Office. He previously worked as a lieutenant, sergeant, and deputy sheriff for the Sheriff's Office.

Shane Barker previously served as a member of the Macedonia City Council for 2 full terms. He is a former council President, vice president, and finance chairperson. He ran for Summit County Sheriff in 2020, but he did not win.
