Louis earned his bachelor's degree in Talmudic law from Ner Israel Rabbinical College and his law degree from the Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University.  

Louis previously worked as chief New York practice advisor at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. He was also previously national director for international affairs for the US Coast Guard.
