Sherry is a Person County native who grew up in the City Lake community and graduated from Person Senior High. She later earned her associate's degree in information systems from Piedmont Community College. Sherry is married to Jimmy, and together they have 2 sons. The family has lived in Timberlake for the past 6 years.

Sherry is a certified economic developer who has worked in economic development for over 10 years, including as a department director and economic development specialist for the Person County Government. She has experience in the government and budget process, as well as laws affecting local government. After leaving her role with Person County Government, she transitioned to the private sector.

Sherry has been married to Jimmy Wilborn for nearly 22 years, and together they have two sons, JT and Jack. The family has lived in Timberlake for the past 6 years.

Sherry Wilborn is a Certified Economic Developer who has worked in economic development for over a decade, including serving as a department director and Economic Development Specialist for Person County Government. She has experience in the government and budget process, as well as laws affecting local government. After leaving her role with Person County Government, she transitioned to the private sector, continuing to support and promote opportunities in Person County.

Sherry Wilborn has not held elected office but has 9 years of experience working closely with Roxboro and Person County elected leaders through her employment with Person County Economic Development. She has been involved with local, state, and national legislators on economic development priorities and needs. Additionally, she was involved in the campaign to Elect Jason 'Skeet' Wilborn for Person County Sheriff in 2022. She currently serves on the boards of the Roxboro Area Chamber of Commerce, Roxboro-Person County Home Builders Association, Kerr Tar Regional Council of Governments, and Roxboro Savings Bank.
