Mark H Nicholson was born in Glendive and later moved to Helena, Montana, where he graduated from high school and then attended Carroll College. Mark has a medical background, having attended medical school at the University of Washington and completed residency training as a family physician at the University of Utah. He later retrained in psychiatry at the University of Washington. He has been married to Laura R. Nicholson since 1985, and they have three children.
