Clayton holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Administration and Management from Valdosta State University in 2006 and an associate's degree in Mortuary Science from Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service in 2023. He currently resides in Paulding County with his wife and son.

Clayton is the apprentice funeral director and embalmer of the Sam Clark Funeral Home. He previously worked in Member Services with the Carroll Electric Membership Corporation, as an Ecommerce Consultant and Account Coordinator with EYStudios, a Bank Officer and Banker with Bank of America and as a Funeral Home Assistant.
