Catherine Miranda is currently a state senator serving District 11. She was elected in 2022 and is serving her first term. Catherine previously served as a state representative for District 16. She was elected in 2010 and served for 2 terms. She then served as a state senator for District 27 for 2 terms from 2015 to 2019. She ran for the U.S. House, Arizona District 7 in 2018 and state representative of District 27 in 2020, but did not win either race.

Catherine has worked as an administrator with the Washington and Cartwright School Districts and as a teacher and assistant principal with the Roosevelt School District.

Catherine is a lifelong resident of Arizona's District 11. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and teaching from Arizona State University and a master's degree in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University.
