Alonzo J. "Zook" Allen is currently a city council member. He was first elected in 2015 and has been in office for two terms. He ran for city council in 2011 but did not win.

Zook is an electrical contractor and building inspector.

Zook is a native of Peach County. He has associate's degrees in residential and commercial wiring from Macon Technical Institute and in applied science in technology from Gordon College, as well as a bachelor's degree in business administration in management from Fort Valley State University. He graduated from Peach County High School. He has five children and 12 grandchildren. He attends Christian-Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
