Ross is from Georgia. He lives with his wife and four children in Jefferson. They attend St. Catherine Laboure Church.

Ross is currently a land surveyor in a small family run firm. He is a mortgage loan originator as well. Ross is a Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and previously served 17 years as an Infantryman.

This race is Ross's first entry into politics.
