Betty is the past president of the Richmond County Neighborhoods Alliance, Inc.

Alvin is originally from Lansing, Michigan, but now lives in Augusta. He is a retired 20-year veteran of the US Army. Alvin also owned a barbecue restaurant in Augusta.
