Tal is from Warner Robins, Georgia. He has a wife and two children. They live in Warner Robins, Georgia.

Tal is a fourth generation farmer and continues to be a dairy farmer in Houston County. He is a member of the Houston County Board of Planning and Zoning, the Bonaire Community Cemetery Committee and the Georgia Milk Producers Board.

Tal Talton's campaign for Post 4 County Commissioner in Houston County is his first entry into politics. However, he is the grandson of Houston County Sherriff Cullen Talton.
