Jasmine was born and raised in Atlanta. She has a bachelor's degree in biological sciences from the University of Tennessee and a doctoral degree in microbiology and molecular genetics from Emory University. She lives in the Lilburn/Tucker area and has two children.

Jasmine is a lecturer on microbiology, human anatomy, and physiology at Emory University.
