Jasmine was born and raised in Atlanta. She has a bachelor's degree in biological sciences from the University of Tennessee and a doctoral degree in microbiology and molecular genetics from Emory University. She lives in the Lilburn/Tucker area and has two children.

Jasmine is the currently the state representative for district 108. She was first elected in 2018 and has been in office for two terms.
