Willie is from Antioch, Georgia. He studied at West Georgia Technical College. He has four children.

Willie is a reverend and owns Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.

Willie T. Edmondson is currently the mayor pro tem of LaGrange. He used to be a member of the LaGrange City Council representing district 2, from 1998 until 2022.
