Donya Sartor is currently a city council member. She was first elected in 2019 and has been in office for one term.

Donya is a senior curriculum specialist at McGraw-Hill Education. She used to work at Expeditionary Learning and Sovereign Training Solutions.

Donya has lived in Jonesboro for 20 years. She has a bachelor's degree from Emory University, a master's degree from Clark Atlanta University, and a PhD in education from Georgia State University.
