Administration

First priority is to assess the backlog of cases by holding status conferences to find out why cases aren't moving then develop a comprehensive plan for moving cases forward.

Jury trials are at a standstill due to COVID, but hearings and status conferences should still be conducted if we leverage the use of technology.

Judges should look at people holistically beyond the crime, and invest in rehabilitation and pre-trial diversion programs.

Spoke at schools and held a “be what you can see” program for middle and high school students to visit her courtroom during time as Judge in City of South Fulton.

Having spent whole career in triage, knows it is incredibly important to rehabilitate people in order to prevent future disasters.

As a special needs parent, is interested in mental health and inequities in education and disability services. Many people come into court having substance abuse issues or inability to read. Fulton County accountability courts can help with rehabilitation instead of jailing these people.
