Sara Khan is originally from Richmond, Texas and currently lives in Richmond, Texas. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and commerce and a master’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Houston.

Sara currently works as the operations manager in the Fort Bend County District Clerk’s Office. She previously worked as a division supervisor and chief of courts within the same office. Her professional experience also includes private-sector business ownership, where she owned and operated a chain of cell phone stores.

Sara's campaign for Fort Bend County treasurer is her first time running for public office.
