Salvador is the president and chief executive officer of his own company, Salvador Serrano Insurance Agency. 

Salvador Serrano Jr. is currently a member of the San Jacinto College Board of Trustees, having been appointed to Trustee Position 3 in 2024. He will serve the unexpired term through June 2025. He advanced to a runoff election for Position 3 in May 2025 but did not win.
