Lance LyBrand is from Wills Point, Texas. He is married and has two children.

Lance currently works as an outside sales representative at Mike's Westside Rental and as a police officer in Texas. He previously worked as a salesperson at Texas First Rentals and as a police officer and detective at the Grand Prairie Police Department. He previously served as a deputy sheriff and investigator at the Kaufman County Sheriff's Department.

Lance currently serves as Vice President of the Grand Prairie Police Association Executive Board, to which he was first elected as treasurer in 2020. His campaign for Wills Point Independent School District Board of Trustees in Position 6 is his first run for public elected office.
