Ryan Laing attended John Ogilvie High School. He lives with his family in Van Alstyne, Texas.

Ryan currently works as an expert compliance risk advisor at Experian. He previously worked as a support associate at Cruckton Hall School, an operations administrator at Virgin Balloon Flights, a telesales executive at Geko Direct, and a customer service representative at Virgin Media.

Ryan's campaign for trustee in the Van Alstyne Independent School District in Texas is his first campaign for public office.
