Michael Laszek earned a bachelor's degree in toxicology from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and a master's degree in regulatory affairs and quality assurance from Temple University. He lives in Crowley, Texas with his three children.

Michael currently works as an independent pharmaceutical quality consultant. He previously worked as senior director of global quality assurance and clinical development and operations at Zenas BioPharma, director of clinical quality assurance at Dermavant Sciences, associate vice president of clinical quality assurance at Reata Pharmaceuticals, director of quality systems at Quality Clinical Research Management, associate director of clinical and pre-clinical quality assurance at Smith and Nephew Biotherapeutics, associate director of clinical quality assurance at Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals, manager of clinical quality assurance at Purdue Pharma, and as a regional clinical research associate at Covance.

Michael currently serves as a member of the Crowley Independent School District Board of Trustees in Place 3. He was appointed to the seat in 2024 following the resignation of a prior trustee and is seeking his first election to the seat.
