Joshua Edwards earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Texas Tech University and a master's degree in management from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Joshua currently works as corporate controller for MOJO Family of Brands, a car wash operating platform. He previously worked as corporate controller at Sun Holdings in Dallas, a restaurant management company. Joshua also worked as acontroller and chief financial officer at Cashmax Title and Loan in Dallas, and as chief financial officer for Critical Electric Systems Group, System Electric and McBride Electric, as well as a controller at Stinger Wellhead Protection. Earlier in his career he worked as an internal auditor for Collin County, director of financial operations at Justice Benefits, a staff accountant at the accounting firm Gary, Bowers and Miller, and briefly as financial controller at Larson International.

Joshua's current campaign for Community Independent School District Trustee is his first run for public office.
