John A Flores is from Freeport, Texas. He earned his associate's degree in computer systems networking from Brazosport College and his bachelor's and master's degrees in information technology from Western Governors University. He and his wife have four children.

John is the Associate Vice President of Information Security at The University of Texas Medical Branch. He previously worked as an information security officer at the University of Texas Health Intelligence Platform, and as a senior network engineer at Freeport LNG, a natural gas company.

John's campaign for Trustee in the Angleton Independent School District is his first run for public office.
