LaShonda Reid received her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, her master's degree in secondary education and teaching from Harding University, and her doctorate degree in education from the University of Phoenix. 

LaShonda currently works as an assistant principal at Red Oak ISD. She previously worked as a an assistant principal and mathematics instructor/department chairperson at Cedar Hill ISD, as an instructional coach and instructional technology coordinator at Duncanville ISD, as an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix, and as an education at Pine Bluff School District. 

LaShonda is currently a member of the Lancaster Independent School District representing District 7. She was elected in 2026 and is currently serving her first term.
