James Clark attended John Brown University, Pierce College, Central Texas College, and Oklahoma Baptist University. He lives in Justin, Texas.

He previously worked as a product manager at the Morrell Group, in the sales and applications department at StreamTech Engineering, a regional manager at Geek+, a senior director at Distribution Performance Solutions. and account executive at Material Handling Systems, Inc., and a sales engineer at Intelligrated.

James currently serves as a the mayor of Justin, Texas. He was first elected in 2022 and is serving his first term. James previously served as a member of the Justin, Texas, City Council. He served from two terms from 2020 to 2024.
