I'm a strong supporter of small businesses who want to eliminate regulations, licensing and bureaucracy that stop them from getting started and succeeding. It should be easy to start a business. We also need lower taxes, free trade and the ability to hire the best people anywhere in the world.

1. The $35 trillion national debt is unsustainable & causes inflation; massive budget cuts are needed across the board. 2. Decriminalize marijuana at the federal level. 3. I want to combine massive spending cuts into a single package that includes the largest tax cut in American history — the total repeal of the federal income tax. The 100.6 million Americans who pay federal income tax would each see an average of $25,844 per person back in their pockets.

There are proposals to replace the income tax with a flat tax or a national sales tax. I will work to repeal the income tax, abolish the IRS, and replace them with nothing. Even without the personal income tax, the federal government would still collect the same total amount that they did 12 years ago – and the government was much too large even then.

#### Fourth Amendment and Data Rights

I am committed to ending government's practice of spying on everyone. I strongly defend our Fourth Amendment right to be secure in our persons, homes, property, and communications. Protection from unreasonable search and seizure should include records held by third parties. Individuals have the right to know what personal data government collects about them, to withhold consent for its collection, and to demand its deletion.

#### Age Verification and Social Media
I oppose government-mandated age limits on social media or other internet use. I oppose age verification laws that supposedly protect children from "harmful" material, but that in fact force providers to identify every user, thus violating everyone's privacy. It's the responsibility of parents, not the government, to police children's internet usage, as they already can do with parental controls and other tools.

#### Digital ID and Social Credit

I oppose digital identification requirements that integrate personal ID, medical records, banking records, biometric data, or other unique identifiers, either mandated by or for use by government. I oppose any government "social credit" systems that use technology to assess the reputation of individuals based on their behaviors, financial records, and legal compliance.

#### Internet Freedom and VPNs

I oppose any government censorship of the internet, such as blocking specific websites or preventing user access. I encourage people to find workarounds to stymie governments from censorship and blackouts. Thus, I oppose any governmental limitation on the use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), which can be used for privacy as well as eluding government controls.

What action is needed to ensure Texas remains a national energy leader?
We need a free market in energy without subsidies or overregulation. Texas has oil and gas, wind and solar, and we need them all. We need to allow more nuclear power plants, since this is the only energy that doesn't produce carbon emissions. Nuclear is safe but feared and misunderstood.

What steps will you take to help protect Texans from major storms and help communities rebuild after a disaster?
I don't think any officeholder is capable of protecting people from storms. After a disaster, though, it should be easy to rebuild without unnecessary regulation and bureaucratic interference.

ICE is so out-of-control that it can't be reformed. I believe that ICE should be abolished, the sooner the better. CBP should be limited to the border and other points of entry (like airports and seaports) and not operate inland as far as 100 miles as currently authorized. The large number of warehouses that ICE has purchased for use as detention facilities should be disposed of immediately. Existing detention facilities need to be shut down.

I'm opposed to [Gov. Greg] Abbott's Operation Lone Star, since immigration is a federal issue. A big help would be to stop the need for immigrants to cross into Texas border towns and instead be allowed to enter at official checkpoints anywhere in the country with border agents to check them in.
