Leigh Wambsganss has a bachelor 27s degree in communications and a master 27s degree in organizational management. She lives in Southlake with her husband, Andy. They have two grown sons. The Wambsganss family worships at The Met Church.

Leigh is the executive director of Patriot Mobile Action. She previously worked as a television news anchor, reporter, and producer. She also founded Southlake Realty, a boutique real estate firm, and worked on congressional campaigns during the Republican Revolution of the 1990s. 

Leigh previously ran for Texas State Senate, District 9, but did not win.
