Action needs to be taken, now not later, to ensure water availability for our children and grandchildren. I favor an immediate action plan of a pilot program to source seawater from the Gulf of America, delivered to the most critical rural areas of the state, building small nuclear power plants, desalination plants, and mineral mining plants for seawater brine, in order to replenish surface and ground water reservoirs. This would not only bring major water replenishments, but also create economic opportunities for these communities in water treatment and minerals market, but also related economic growth and jobs in these rural areas.
