The facts are still being gathered, and multiple federal agencies are investigating. Out of respect for both the affected families, neighbors and friends, and the officers involved, it is important that we allow investigators to complete their work before reaching conclusions. I do believe it is reasonable that body cameras be released as soon as possible. So, that we can deal with the facts, not the rhetoric or emotionalism.

Every use of deadly force deserves a thorough, transparent, and professional review. The public deserves the truth, wherever the evidence leads.
