2026 Texas General Election

I’m running for Mayor because River Oaks deserves a leader dedicated to building on what already works while driving our city forward. Serving on the Parks Board has shown me the real power of hands-on community leadership. As Mayor, I will focus on thoughtful economic development, including revitalizing River Oaks Boulevard to attract thriving businesses, expand our tax base, and ease the financial pressure on local homeowners.

Our parks and public spaces are an important part of what makes River Oaks home. Through my service on the Parks Board and the Parks Foundation, I've seen firsthand the value that safe, well-maintained parks and gathering spaces bring to our community. I want to continue building on that work by listening to residents about how our parks can best serve children, families, seniors, and the entire community, while thoughtfully prioritizing improvements and looking for creative ways to fund and support them.

Jill's Values - Vote Jill Fox

Good government starts with communication and transparency. I believe residents should have easy access to information about what is happening in their city and meaningful opportunities to participate in the process. I want to explore new and more accessible ways for the city to communicate with residents, meeting people where they are whether that's through social media, email, community meetings, or other tools.

I want to explore new and more accessible ways for the city to communicate with residents, meeting people where they are whether that's through social media, email, community meetings, or other tools. I would also like to establish a regular Mayor's Musings update to keep residents informed about what's happening in the city government, upcoming projects and decisions, and the issues facing our community.

I also want to bring more voices to the table. Younger residents and families, longtime residents, business owners, and neighbors who may not have traditionally been involved in local government all have valuable perspectives to offer. I believe our city is stronger when residents are invited to participate and have meaningful opportunities to help shape our future. As mayor, I would work to make civic engagement more accessible and welcoming to everyone.

As Mayor, I will focus on thoughtful economic development, including revitalizing River Oaks Boulevard to attract thriving businesses, expand our tax base, and ease the financial pressure on local homeowners. I will stand firmly with Castleberry ISD to support its academic excellence, keep our parks safe and vibrant for families, and build trust between our city government and residents through transparent, modern communication.

Having worked as a third-grade teacher in Fort Worth ISD and now working in early childhood education, I understand the challenges facing educators and the importance of giving students and families the support they need to succeed. While the school district has its own elected leadership, I believe the city can be a strong partner, working collaboratively on issues that affect students and families, supporting community initiatives, and helping create an environment where families want to live, work, and stay.
