Texas County Treasurers Directory — Hunt County

The Hunt County GOP’s candidate for county treasurers has withdrawn from the race. Sherry Fair will not be on the Nov. 6 ballot. She reportedly stepped aside for what she called family reasons. Brittni Turner, whom Fair defeated in the spring primary, will be the Republican candidate for the position instead. No Democrats have filed for the seat; Janie Watkins is the Libertarian Party candidate.

Brittni Turner currently serves as Hunt County Treasurer and was sworn in on Jan. 1, 2019. She was defeated in the spring 2018 Republican primary for the office before becoming the party's candidate after Sherry Fair withdrew.
