Seth Rowlands has been married to Amanda for 18 years and has three daughters.

Today, Seth serves as Captain of the Safe Schools North Division, where he leads a team of 47 Galveston County Sheriff’s Office deputies serving 45 Clear Creek ISD campuses. In that role, he works closely with school district leadership, emergency management officials, and local police departments to coordinate school security and prepare for critical incidents. Before becoming Captain, Seth spent six years as a Major Crimes Detective Sergeant, investigating some of the most serious offenses affecting Galveston County, including homicides, robberies, burglaries, sexual assaults, human trafficking, and the online solicitation of minors. His responsibilities took him from crime scenes and interviews to the courtroom, where he testified and presented evidence in criminal cases.

Seth also spent a decade as a member of the Special Operations Group (SWAT), responding to critical threats to public safety, serving high-risk warrants, resolving barricaded-subject incidents, and helping organize and supervise tactical training.
