I support the free-flow of markets. If we want cheaper food and gas, we need to consider the role government plays in this. Taxes, government spending, and heavy-handed regulations can be detrimental to prices and our way of life.

The Issues

Education: Pursuit of the American Dream
Todd's Opinion

I fully support school choice. Parental involvement is vital for student success. Prohibiting choice is comparable to the most evil characteristic of slavery; you couldn’t leave, peacefully, if you wanted.

Abortion: Let's Think Consciously
Todd's Opinion

Acknowledging the complexity of the abortion issue is both a service to the American people, and most significantly, unborn life. My opponent tends to take an absolutist and extreme approach in his stance on abortion. I would not do so, as it would hurt my ability represent my District as intended.

Most Americans

Most Americans recognize the complexity of the police issue as well. There is a fundamental need for police in a world where a criminal aspect is relentless.

Public Safety

Something’s gone terribly wrong.

Can you believe we are shutting down pipelines at the expense of our economy? Gas and food prices have soared recently, hurting hardworking American families in the process. As Americans, we know our infrastructure is dependent on the seamless flow of markets. Intentionally cutting off the flow of oil via pipelines, strong-arming consumers into “energy-efficient“ vehicles, and limiting drilling only worsens this.

When asked about environmental concerns and lowering energy costs, Johnson did not specify how agreements with drilling companies would be structured to lower costs, but said, “Most of the studies that I’ve seen or heard have looked at what other places are doing. … They’re looking at how to purify those things, and so again, if it’s safe and it’s going to help lower costs, which we know it does, then I’m all for it.”

Opposes pipeline shutdowns and limits on drilling, and supports drilling that he considers safe and able to lower costs.

Plans to examine SEPTA’s structure and how it uses and allocates funding.

“A lot of times, people think if we just give more money, that’s going to solve the problem. No, I believe that we need to look at the structure of how SEPTA is set up, and we also need to look at the money that’s being put into SEPTA. … As a state senator, having that oversight and being able to take a microscope to how the funding is being used and how it’s being allocated, I think that’s what we need to do,” Johnson said.
