School Bus Video Monitoring

December 20, 2024 09:37 AM to All House Members

Circulated By

GIRAL

To ensure an overall safer transportation environment, I am introducing legislation requiring that all school buses be equipped with a video monitoring system that includes an internal camera positioned so that every seat is visible. In addition, my bill requires that school buses be equipped with either an external camera or an internal camera positioned outward so that the road ahead can be seen.

Energy & the Environment

For these reasons, I plan to introduce legislation to eliminate these temporary registration cards, permits and plates. Instead, PennDOT would only issue permanent registration cards and plates through an expedited process, thus ensuring that Pennsylvanians do not have a long wait time between obtaining ownership of a vehicle and being street legal. By eliminating paper plates and tags, we can ensure safer roads for all and help law enforcement in their prevention of violent crime.

Statewide Gun Buyback Program

December 3, 2024 01:10 PM to All House Members

Circulated By

GIRAL

For this reason, my legislation would require the Office of Attorney General to establish a statewide gun buyback program with the Commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police. Surrender would be anonymous and without prosecution for possession of a firearm.

The participation of individual law enforcement officers and sheriffs would be voluntary, with those taking part able to aid investigations by checking firearms for involvement in crimes, returning stolen firearms to their rightful owner, and handling safe storage and disposal.
