After earning degrees in Political Science, Public Policy, and Women’s Studies from Western Michigan University and the Lee Honors College, I was a research assistant at the Fetzer Institute on compassion-driven leadership.

I made my home here in the Brandywine area, where I raised a family, became a small business owner and real estate broker, and eventually restored a historic farm with my husband, Vince.

I also founded Centreville Place Café + Market—a space where we have created tables for community and conversation—based upon my book, The Civil Graces Project, which is about reclaiming the core values that bring us together and help rebuild our communities.

Her bid for Pennsylvania’s old 7th congressional district in 2018 was cut short. The district was redrawn and merged with another area. Party leaders asked her to step down in favor of another candidate. Moro obliged.

Our community is a great place to live, work, and raise a family—but for too many of us, housing costs are too high. When people can’t afford to stay in our community, it hurts ALL of us.

In Harrisburg, Elizabeth will:
 •	Build and preserve housing stock
 •	Protect renters from unfair rent spikes
 •	Expand property tax relief for families
 •	Crack down on predatory investors

As a small business owner, Elizabeth knows that everything is more expensive these days: eggs, coffee, utilities—and it’s making it harder for families to succeed.

In Harrisburg, Elizabeth will:
 •	Work to lower costs
 •	Increase Pennsylvania’s minimum wage
 •	Bring good, family-sustaining jobs in the skilled trades back to our community.

Economy

No one should have to drain their bank account or go into debt to be seen by a doctor. As a small business owner, Elizabeth understands the costs and challenges of finding reliable healthcare.

In Harrisburg, Elizabeth will:
 •	Lower prescription drug costs for families
 •	Expand urgent care and telehealth options
 •	Make insurers cover mental health care
 •	Stop private equity buyouts of hospitals

Pennsylvania is the birthplace of our democracy. Our state history is rich with examples of individuals who sacrificed everything to ensure our liberties. Every day we feel the impact of the attacks on our rights and freedoms.

More than ever, we need our state and local governments to be the front lines to defending our right to vote, our reproductive freedom, and our civil democracy. As she shares in her book, "The Civil Graces Project," Elizabeth understands that these rights are fundamental to who we are as Americans—and she’s dedicated to protecting them.

Healthcare

Elizabeth believes that every day is an opportunity to work towards a bright future for our kids. As a mom, she knows the value of public education—when it is strong for all children, we all benefit.

In Harrisburg, Elizabeth will:
 •	Fully fund our public schools
 •	Make quality childcare more accessible
 •	Keep guns out of our schools

Education

When we have to pay more every month just to keep the lights on and the temperature right, it puts a strain on our household budgets. It also hurts small businesses and our local economy.

In Harrisburg, Elizabeth will:
 •	Strengthen rebates on energy-efficient upgrades
 •	Support affordable, clean energy alternatives
 •	Require transparency before utility rate hikes
 •	Protect grid capacity from data centers

She’s also calling for a moratorium on data centers.

“You cannot come on and take our open space and our quality of life away from us,” Moro said. “And I stood up to big developers before. I’ll do it again.”

Supports gun-violence prevention efforts.

“I am tremendously grateful for CeaseFirePA’s efforts to raise awareness and take action to make our communities safer through gun violence prevention, organization, and education,” said Elizabeth Moro, candidate in PA House District 160. “For too long, our current representative has disregarded the concerns of the people of our district. It is time for leadership that truly represents the people, and I look forward to partnering with CeaseFirePA to always put the lives and safety of Pennsylvanians before gun industry extremists.”
