Crack down on wage theft

Pennsylvania's seniors built our communities and earned a secure retirement. Mike helped expand the Property Tax & Rent Rebate that keeps seniors in their homes, and he'll keep fighting to lower their prescription costs, protect their pensions, and strengthen the care that lets them age in place.

Economy

Trump's budget guts Medicaid and the ACA — threatening coverage for hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians and the rural hospitals families depend on, even as premiums climb. As co-founder of the PA House Mental Health Caucus, Mike has led the fight for new mental-health funding — a fight that isn't finished — and he'll keep pushing to protect your coverage and lower costs.

STRONG PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Pennsylvania's school-funding system was ruled unconstitutional, leaving a $4.5B gap that shortchanges the students who need it most. Mike is leading the fight for record state dollars for Parkland and Allentown, and won't stop until every school is funded fairly — which is also how we slow the property-tax hikes hitting Lehigh Valley homeowners.

Close the court-ordered adequacy gap
Raise teacher pay and shrink classes
Free breakfast & lunch for every student
Invest from pre-K through the trades

DATA CENTERS & ENERGY

Mike knows that our communities must be protected from speculative data centers that will pollute our environment, spike our energy costs, and harm our communities. That's why Mike has helped lead the fight and vote yes on six different bills designed to protect us all — and he supports Governor Shapiro's efforts to enact real restrictions on data-center development.

Ensuring that data centers must bring their own power and cannot pass along energy costs to the consumers.
Increasing the PUC's ability to regulate these centers.
Guaranteeing transparency for water use, environmental standards, labor protections, and more.
Banning the use of non-disclosure agreements.
Guaranteeing local governments have the right to enact moratoriums to update their zoning and stop speculative developers from harming communities.

Has opposed cuts to the Department of Environmental Protection, introduced legislation to remove lead from schools and homes, and co-sponsored environmental-justice permitting legislation.

In the legislature, he has fought against attempts to defund the Department of Environmental Protection so it has the resources it needs to hold polluters accountable, introduced legislation to remove lead from our schools and homes, and co-sponsored legislation that requires the Department of Environmental Protection to consider environmental justice issues before authorizing new permits.
