Mayor McCool requested the addition of item 9A, to add one member to the Chocolate Drop Committee. Councilwoman Kennedy requested the addition of item 9B, beautifying the sidewalks in the downtown area. Councilman Jackson requested to add item 10H, personnel matter § 143-318.11. Closed sessions.

Item #9B. Beautifying the sidewalks in the downtown area of Columbus

Mrs. Kennedy stated that she and a few others have met downtown and discussed ways to beautify the downtown area. Mrs. Kennedy stated that the Town can use Powell Bill money to help with the beautification projects in the downtown area. The Town Council members agreed that this beautification project would be a great idea.

Item #7. Consideration of Amending the UDO by adding a line to the table of permitted uses

Councilwoman Kennedy made a motion to add a line to the table of permitted uses in the UDO for Steps to Hope Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse Treatment Center. Councilman Phillips seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
